YESH is designed to empower unemployed Ethiopian youth, by providing entrepreneurship opportunities and access to improved technologies and practices, financial services, tools, market linkages, and resources needed to establish successful enterprises. This will result in increased income, improved food and nutrition security, and enhanced health of the young people and the environment.
Goal
The project goal is to reduce youth unemployment, by providing economic opportunities in silk farming and beekeeping for young people, through training and job creation, and entrepreneurship support.
Objectives
- Undertake an in-depth value chain analysis of beekeeping and silk production
- Increase knowledge and improve the capacity of the unemployed youth in technology-based entrepreneurship
- Develop silk and beekeeping entrepreneurship skills for youth through business incubation and development
- Create market opportunities for youth in beekeeping and silk value chains
- Facilitate learning and monitor progress 6. Increase awareness by sharing progress and outcomes with key stakeholders.
